Asia Symbol (Shandong) Pulp and Paper Co., Ltd. is currently the biggest wood pulp producer in China, and one of the largest foreign enterprises in Shandong Province, operating the largest single pulp line, with leading advanced process, technology and environmental performance in the world. It is a benchmarking enterprise in pulp and paper industrial upgrading, technological progress and green development. In 2015, Asia Symbol was entrusted as the main drafter of the national standard of BHK pulp and ivory board.

Asia Symbol’s main products are BHKP, NBKP, DP, liquid packaging board and high grade ivory board. The total environmental investment in the mill over RMB 5 billion, not only the total investment but also the investment ratio is the highest in pulp and paper mills in China. The process, technology and environmental performance ranks the most advanced level in the world.

Asia Symbol introduces the design and technology from Singapore to build City Sewage Reuse Project, which has the purifying capacity of 40,000 cubic meters per day, treating sewage from Rizhao Sewage Treatment Plant, saves more than 10 million cubic meters raw water annually, which can meet 200,000 ordinary families’ (about 600,000 persons) water demand. The project can reduce pollutant emissions and keep city ecological environment balance. The project was awarded the best CSR case and the “Golden Bee Award” by China WTO Tribune. It was selected for exhibition in National Base for Environmental Education and Demonstration.
